PERMANENT RESIDENT CANADA

With the much-anticipated Express Entry Canadian immigration selection system due to begin on January 1, 2015, we continue to learn more about how exactly it will operate. Many questions have been answered over the past few weeks, and we're now in a position to share this information with you.

What we have known for some time is that Express Entry will function as a two-step process.

Step One will involve candidates making an expression of interest in immigrating to Canada, with candidates who are eligible for one of the federal economic immigration programs entering the Express Entry pool.
Step Two will involve a portion of those candidates in the pool being issued invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence.

Other Highlights of the Programs are as follows:
1. There is no specific occupation list for Express Visa.
2. All Eligible applicants will enter the same pool. (PNP, International Graduates, FSW etc.)
3. Comprehensive Ranking system is applied for the selection criteria.
4. Language Test Result is required before applying.
5. Educational Credential Assessment is required to apply.
6. Profile can be updated anytime until the applicant gets an Invitation to PR.
7. Applicant may get ban of 2-5 Years to apply as PR if, fraud information is detected in application.
8. First Draw/ Invitation to PR will be out in End of January 2015 for successful applicants. (If applied in Start of January)
9. Applicant will have only 60 Days to submit complete file in embassy after receiving Invitation to PR.
10. If applicant fails to apply with complete file within 60 Days, he/she will no longer stay in Express Pool and will not get second chance to reapply in embassy. However She/he can apply for EOI again.
11. If applicant denies the invitation, he /she can only re-enter the Express Pool after 12 months.
12. PNP will continue to exist other than Express Entry, but some Provinces may pick their applicants from Express Pool.
13. Quebec will not participate in Express Entry System, expect for those who are working anywhere else in Canada with the Head office in Canada.
14. Applicants whose occupation is not listed in NOC category of Canada, can apply in Job Bank and may have chances of getting selected.
15. Age of Dependent Children will be calculated at the time of file submission in embassy not at the time of Express Pool Entry.
16. Only Biological and Adopted before 19 Yrs, will be considered as Dependent Children.
17. Authorized Agents and ICCRC Lawyers can represent the Client's File.
18. No Paper Application will be entertained, Only Online submissions will be acceptable.
